Atkins Day 166 & 167

Exercise today – 90 minute yoga class

L – salami and cheese roll ups, one hard boiled egg, green beans with butter

S – decaf tea with cream

D – shrimp with Parmesan cheese, fried Brussels sprouts

Calories – 1430

S – four squares of chocolate, walnuts

L – roast pork, green beans with butter

S – one hard boiled egg

Yoga was great tonight…no more yoga until next Wednesday…hopefully the withdrawal won’t be too bad!  :D

Wow!  I was updating my work out calendar and realized that although I have been getting my work outs in, I haven’t been to the gym since April 24th.  Tomorrow night is Buddhism class, so no work out.

I am a little excited.  We are going to Vermont…to a Buddhist retreat.  I can’t wait!!!  Wheeeeeeee!!!

Yoga was splendid today…we have to get to a class on Wednesday as the yoga studio will be closed all next weekend.

D – potato skins with cheese, bacon, green onions, and sour cream, one rib, two wings, 3.5 chicken fingers with wing sauce, kettle chips, fries, coleslaw, chocolate chip cookies with ice cream, chocolate and butterscotch sauce, two hard candies

Fat – 249 g

Protein –120 g

Survived the sleep study…not the most pleasant way to spend the evening, but hopefully I get the results soon.  I have had a headache the past few days which is not so thrilling either.  It has subsided now and hopefully it is gone for a long time.  Missed yoga last night because I was in so much pain, but we did go to chanting.  I will go to yoga tomorrow though and I am looking forward to it.

My great fruit experiment is over.  It makes me feel hungry, makes me think about food, and makes me want to eat.  Please see Exhibit “A” (my dinner tonight) above.  My son came down for his birthday celebration and I went wild.  Fruit is back off the menu and I am going back down to 30 or less carbs per day tomorrow.

Twenty three weeks of Atkins!  Yay me!  On the way to the sleep study…called today, the doc faxed off the referral and they had a spot tonight…that is what I call service!  :D

As Lori said, I have been busy.  So tonight, I took a night off and did nothing…how sweet it is.

I noticed I have been having a very dry mouth in the night, imagine the whole inside of your mouth stuck on your teeth and gums…and I think I have to go for a sleep study to see if I need to have my CPAP pressure adjusted.  Apparently this is something that may need to be done when you lose weight…must call tomorrow and see what I need to do about getting an appointment.

The Wellness Fair was great!  In addition to the 10 minute massage (a bit ouchy, he was tough!), and the financial planning session, I had an Indian head massage which is really relaxing (and I got to reconnect with the practitioner who I know from the spa nights we used to go to), and I went to a 30 minute Zumba class.

It was my first time!  I wasn’t dressed for it, didn’t have the proper footwear (I went barefoot), but it was really, really enjoyable.  What a work out!!!

Tonight was Buddhism class and that was interesting too…all sorts of fun times going on.  I like it!  :D

Since we missed yoga yesterday due to the wedding shower, we went tonight.  Yay!  I love getting my yoga fix.  Tomorrow we have a Wellness Fair at work and all kinds of practitioners come and you can go to yoga or Zumba etc.  There are also chiropractors, naturopaths, and massage therapists.   I am going to a financial planning session and am having a 10 minute massage!  Weeee!  My yoga teacher will be there, but I probably won’t see her as she will be too busy teaching!  :)

Went to a wedding shower today…I haven’t been to one for such a long time.  It was lovely and they had great snacks! I brought the fruit tray and had my bit of fruit for the day.  Woke up too late to check my blood today, but I will check it tomorrow.

Exciting news…if everything thing works out The Boss and I will be going to a Buddhist retreat in Vermont.  Yippee!  :D
