Exercise – 90 minute yoga class

B – bacon, eggs, sliced tomato, decaf coffee with sweetener and cream

S – decaf coffee with SF syrup, sweetener, and heavy whipping cream

L – Parmesan crusted zucchini with ranch and garlic dip

S – old cheddar chunks

D – chocolate protein shake with coconut oil

S – sauerkraut

Calories – 1755

Fat – 139 g

Protein – 91 g

Carbs – 24 g

Snowmageddon turned into nomageddon!  Just a lot of rain instead.  Went to yoga and chanting tonight…since I wasn’t well, I hadn’t exercised in awhile…felt great to be there.  I am still on track to meet my goal of 12 work outs this month.  :)

Atkins Day 84

Blood sugar – 4.3 (tested this morning as I had six squares of dark chocolate yesterday and wanted to see if there was any increase…there wasn’t!)

Meals today:

B – chocolate protein shake with coconut oil

S – decaf coffee with SF syrup, sweetener, and heavy whipping cream

L – cream of mushroom soup

D – bacon, scrambled eggs, melted old cheddar, and hot sauce

Calories – 1927

Fat – 162 g

Protein – 88 g

Carbs – 22 g

Twelve weeks of Atkins!  I have to write down (again) all the great things that have happened to me so far:

  • off all blood pressure medications and blood pressure is back to normal
  • blood sugar is back to normal
  • off a prescription antihistamine for hives that I took for 32 YEARS!
  • horribly scaly rash gone from the back of my neck…was there for about 18 years or so…gluten free helped it, but grain free eliminated it
  • no more joint pain
  • able to exercise way more than before
  • cholesterol and triglycerides readings dropped like stones!!!
  • lost weight
  • lost inches
  • no more shaky, I need to eat or faint feelings
  • no more menstrual cramps (they were debilitating…at one point I was taking demerol for them)…thank you grain free!
  • no more crazy cravings or binging after December 25 and 26, 2011 (the incidents with the chocolates)

I am thrilled about all of the above!

Supposed to go to the eye doctor in the morning…but snowmageddon is supposed to arrive tonight…guess I will have to wait and see what happens.

Atkins Day 83

Meals today:

B – scrambled eggs and onions with hot sauce

S – six squares of dark chocolate

L – spicy crab cakes with a spicy mayo dip

S – sauerkraut

D – shrimp with lemon and garlic, cauliflower

Calories – 1623

Fat – 126 g

Protein – 92 g

Carbs – 24 g

Feeling better, but I will take tomorrow off so that I am 100% when I go back to work on Monday…then I am only in for two days and off for five…including my extra 24 hours on February 29th.  Can’t wait…I have a 75 minute massage booked for that day…who knows what other fun I will get up to?  Thanks to all for the good wishes for my health!  :D

L – scrambled eggs

Protein – 75 g

Carbs – 18 g

Feeling a bit better, but still no work tomorrow.  Sick people coming into the office is frowned upon…they might even throw tomatoes…best not to risk it!  ;)

Atkins Day 81

Meals today:

B –  chocolate protein shake with coconut oil

L – ground beef with fire roasted tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos

S – decaf coffee with sweetener and heavy whipping cream

S – decaf tea with sweetener

D – pork chop with fried sauerkraut

Calories – 1492

Fat – 112 g

Protein – 91 g

Carbs – 16 g

I spoke too soon.  As the day went on, I was feeling worse and worse…at about 4:10 I couldn’t take it anymore and went and sat in the lunchroom to wait for The Boss to be finished work so we could go home.  Actually we had to stop at the pharmacy first…I needed some Drixoral so I can breathe tonight with my CPAP on.  Also picked up some new toothbrushes (heard you should throw them out when you are sick), and Vicks and ear drops just in case.

Although it started in my throat and tried to move down, it has now gone upward…boo.  I am not good at being sick (I hate even saying I am sick), but I will just have to deal with it the best I can.  I don’t like being off work as I only work four days a week and pack a lot into a day.  Oh well…I need to take care of myself and get better quickly.  I see relaxation and television viewing in my future tomorrow.

Started the meditation challenge tonight and it was great.  A nice, easy meditation to get started.

L – salami slices with jalapeno Havarti, chicken broth

D – ground beef with fire roasted tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, melted old cheddar, sour cream, and a mashed avocado with lemon juice

S – decaf tea

Calories – 1948

Fat – 168 g

Protein – 83 g

Carbs – 20 g

Feeling better…not 100%, but good enough to go to work…I can always leave if I am not feeling up to it.  Hope everyone had a great weekend and that if you weren’t feeling well, that you are better now!  :)

L – salami slices with jalapeno Havarti, four squares of dark chocolate

D – tilapia with a curry mayo, broccoli and cauliflower with butter

Fat – 112 g

Protein – 85 g

Carbs – 24 g

Boo!  I am not feeling well, sore throat, stuffy nose…unlike!!!  Going to watch a movie and go to bed early.

Protein – 90 g

Carbs – 5 g

Still headachey today and not feeling 100%.  Epic fail on the carbs today…I know I have to get more in…especially from vegetables.  Going shopping tomorrow and will be doing more planning so I can those vegetables in.

Perhaps next Friday I will try adding berries and go up to 35 carbs per day…big dreams as I haven’t been too successful at getting to 30.

Atkins Day 76 and 77

Had a really bad headache the past couple of days.  Feeling a bit better now…but tired…longer post tomorrow.

Atkins Day 75

Meals today:

B – chocolate protein shake with coconut oil

S – decaf coffee with SF syrup and heavy whipping cream, two walnuts

L – pork loin with cream cheese and mushroom sauce, Brussels sprouts

S – one hard boiled egg

D – lobster tail with lemon and butter, broccoli with garlic, hazelnut cheesecake with slivered almonds and a sprinkle of cocoa powder (just mixed softened cream cheese with SF hazelnut syrup, put it in ramekins and back into the fridge to set)

Calories – 2206

Fat – 182 g

Protein – 115 g

Carbs – 20 g
